Hybrid, motorcycle sales spike with high gas prices

McALLEN — Rising gas prices are spurring more area motorists to ditch their cars for more fuel efficient hybrids and motorcycles.

"It’s on the minds of everyone that comes in here," said John Tunberg, general manager of McAllen Motorsport, a motorcycle dealership. "It’s always the first thing they say."
