I want a car I can plug in

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles have gotten up to 250 miles a gallon.
If someone would manufacture a plug-in hybrid, I would buy it.
There are many promising technologies that could slash gasoline consumption.
Hydrogen fuel-cell cars hold enormous promise but may require a generation to build the infrastructure to realize the potential.
Hydrogen fuel-cell engines work. They have been used in the space program for years. They are free of pollution.
Major problems must be overcome to produce hydrogen fuel-cell cars. There are only a handful of places where hydrogen fuel-cell cars can be refilled. Currently, hydrogen fuel-cell cars cost as much as a college education.
Cars that run on biofuels offer the hope that the United States can break its dependency on oil, particularly foreign oil. So far, the production of ethanol is being subsidized by taxpayers, and not enough is being produced to keep up with its demand as a gasoline additive. story continued
